Asia Wealth Securities Co forecasts that the SET Index will rebound to between 1,559 and 1,573 points after pro-European Union centrist Emmanuel Macron was projected on Sunday to win the presidential election in France.

However, the company has continued concerns about capital outflow from emerging markets and US trade policy that could have long-term impacts on the Thai economy.

Meanwhile, Tisco Securities Co estimates that the Stock Exchange of Thailand’s composite index will rebound past 1,575 points this week.

"If the SET Index can [pass] 1,575 this week, it may increase to close to 1,600 points this month," Viwat Techapoonphol, the company's deputy managing director and head of technical analysis, said on Monday.
