Kasikornbank has teamed up with Bank Central Asia (BCA) - the top commercial bank of Indonesia - to offer financial services to Thai clients who are doing business in Indonesia.
To Somkiat Sirichatchai, senior executive vice president of KBank, such cooperation strengthens the bank's commitment to increase international business volume prior to the activation of the Asean Economic Forum.
"We want our clients investing in Indonesia and other countries to obtain our suggestions and guarantee services," he said.
BCA operates 900 branches across Indonesia, which is drawing huge investment on the International Monetary Fund's forecast that its economy would expand 6.1 per cent in 2013. That is the highest growth rate among Asean nations.
Under the memorandum of understanding, KBank hopes to maximise benefits for its retail and corporate customers.
"In addition to financial services, we will work together to organise seminars, business matching and employee exchange programmes," Somkiat said.
