Activist Srisuwan Janya made the first legal challenge Friday over the junta leader's nomination as the next prime minister by seeking a Constitutional Court ruling as to whether his appointment is constitutional.
Srisuwan also called on General Prayuth Chanocha to resign as chief of the ruling National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) to avoid conflict of interest. He said Prayuth should not hold the two positions at the same time.
