The Supreme Court Thursday upheld the Criminal and Appeals courts' decision to reject a lawsuit filed by former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and his divorced wife, Khunying Potjaman Na Pombejra, against the Assets Examination Committee.
The Supreme Court said it has no authority to accept the suit because the now-defunct assets panel had the same status with the National Anti-Corruption Commission.
The Supreme Court agreed with the lower courts that Thaksin and Potjaman must file a complaint with the Senate to have the Senate file malfeasance charges against the assets panel in line with the NACC act.
