Wallop Tangkananurak, a member of the National Legislative Assembly (NLA), on Tuesday expressed support for the growing calls for the NLA members to declare their asset statements as a measure to prevent corruption.
He said once the NLA members stepped into politics, they are all public figures. Even though there is no law obliging them to declare their asset statements, they should do it, Wallop said.
“Especially when we were selected by the National Council for Peace and Order, we really need to [declare the asset statements]. It will be a measure to prevent corruption,” he said.
