The Metropolitan Police Thursday invited executives of major shopping malls to a meeting at the bureau to discuss measures to ease traffic congestion near their venues, Deputy Metropolitan Police chief Pol Maj Gen Adul Narongsak said.
The stores summoned included Central, Robinson and The Mall.
Adul said opinions of the executives of the department stores will be taken into account for drafting a memorandum of understanding and they will be invited again to sign the MOU on the traffic management on August 4.
Among the measures to be discussed will be how to relocate the security booths for distributing and recollecting park tickets, allocations of parking areas for the people with disability and reservation of parking areas for VIP customers that caused the parking area to be inadequate, Adul said.
