Buenos Aires - At least 70 people were injured and dozens arrested in clashes in Buenos Aires late Sunday, hours after Argentina lost the World Cup final to Germany, local media reported.
Fifteen police officers were among those wounded as they tried to tackle hundreds of fans, who were smashing windows and damaging cars in the centre of the city, broadcaster TN reported, quoting emergency services.
Police fired rubber bullets and tear gas, and at least 50 people were reported to have been arrested.
Elsewhere in the Argentine capital, fans marked the end of the World Cup by celebrating the efforts of their team and its star player, Lionel Messi.
