The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration will start reorganising street vendors mid this month and the process should be complete by the end of the month, said BMA adviser Pol MajGeneral Wichai Sangprapai Saturday.
Wichai said city officials would explain the situation to street vendors, many of whom had sold goods on footpaths for years and believed they had the right to do so. He said officials would help find new locations for vendors. Street vendors have until the end of the month to adjust to the move, with police set to arrest footpathblocking vendors, he said.
