Junta chief Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha on Friday asked for more time to tackle problems of migrant labour, human trafficking as well as democracy in Thailand.
In his televised speech, Prayuth said that it will take time to improve laws, rules, personnel as well as punishment on the issues and make them meet the international standard.
Referring to the international community's reaction against the military junta, he said he and the junta will not argue or try to defend itself as it could create violence.
We have been friends with the foreign countries for long time, so we would try to explain to them to make them have more understanding. He said Thai public should not blame each othr because the foreign countries will know about our problems.
