Beijing - Hundreds Chinese citizens have crossed into Cambodia after fleeing anti-Chinese rioting in Vietnam, state media reported from Phnom Penh.
"On Wednesday alone, over 600 Chinese nationals entered Cambodia through Bavet international border checkpoint in Svay Rieng province," Cambodian National Police spokesman Kirt Chantharith told China's official Xinhua news agency.
The total did not include Chinese citizens who travelled to Cambodia by air, Chantharith was quoted as saying.
About 10 Chinese employees of a Chinese steel company in Vietnam's central Ha Tinh Province remained unaccounted for, the agency said.
