Caretaker Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaiku Saturday dismissed the proposals of Democrat leader Abhisit Vejjajiva for ending political deadlock as being impractical and undemocratic.
He said the proposal of appointment of a nonpartisan prime minister and an interim government cannot be done and will not receive public acceptance because it is undemocratic.
Surapong, an advisor to the Centre for Administration of Peace and Order, said if Abhisit is confident that his proposals are good for the country, he should contest the next election and use the proposals as his party’s selling points.
