Police Commissioner General Pol Gen Adul Saengsingkaew said Thursday that he had instructed immigration police along the borders to step up security to prevent a red-shirt leader wanted on lese majesty charges from fleeing.
Adul said police at border checkpoints would prevent Wutthipong Kotchathamkhun, alias Ko Tee, from fleeing.
He was accused of defaming His Majesty the King in his interview with a foreign media.
Adul said police would obtain a warrant for the arrest of Wutthipong.
