Grenade attack aimed at intimidating NACC: secretary general

The secretary general of the National Anti-Corruption Commission expressed his belief that M79 grenades that fell on the roofs of the NACC and Government Lottery Office were aimed at intimidating the anti-graft agency.
The grenade attacks happened late Monday night. Police said the bombs might be aimed at intimidating a red-shirt group rallying in front of the NACC.
But NACC secretary general Sansern Polchiak said the bombs were definitely aimed at pressuring the NACC. The NACC has given caretaker prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra until Saturday to defend herself in the rice-pledging case before the NACC will decide whether to indict her or not.
