Wellington - The New Zealand government said Tuesday it would relocate a Royal New Zealand Air Force plane from Malaysia to Australia to continue in the search for missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which disappeared between Kuala Lumpur and Beijing.
Defence Minister Jonathan Coleman said "at the request of Malaysia, New Zealand's RNZAF P3 Orion will today relocate to the Royal Australian Air Force base Pearce, north of Perth, to join Australian, US and Chinese aircraft in the search effort of the southern corridor area.
"He said New Zealand was committed to participating in the international search for the missing Boeing 777-200, which disappeared on March 8 after it took off from Kuala Lumpur International Airport with 239 people on board.
