Caretaker Transport Minister Chadchart Sittipunt announced Friday that he has never thought about running for the position of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration governor.
Chadchart posted a message on his LINE group for transport reporters that no one approached him to contest for the position either.
The Election Commission has decided to cancel the result of last year’s gubernatorial poll on ground that the winner, Sukhumbhand Paribatra, was assisted by election campaigns that framed his main opponent of the Pheu Thai Party. The EC has decided to call a new election but the decision has yet to be approved by the Appeals Court.
