Hanoi - Four Vietnamese aircraft involved in the search for missing Malaysia Airlines jetliner MH370 were deployed Monday to investigate pieces of possible wreckage spotted the previous evening, with two more to follow, the army said.
A Vietnamese hydroplane spotted the debris 80 kilometres from Tho Chu island on Sunday night, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan, told dpa.
Pictures of one object had appeared in local and international media.
"The hydroplane took the photo suspected to be a exit window of the plane. However, it was too dark at that time so the photo was not really clear," he said.
Two search and rescue ships have already arrived in the area.
