Phatra Securities forecasts Thai GDP at 2.8 per cent

Thailand's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) this year is expected to expand at 2.8 per cent, if the new government could be established within the first half of this year, according to Supavudh Saichuea, Phatra Securities' managing director of research.
The country is expected to register the GDP growth of 0.6 per cent in the first half and 5 per cent in the second half. The export sector is estimated to expand 4 per cent this year.
