The election would not be delayed from February 2, caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra said Wednesday.
Yingluck, who attended a meeting with about 37 parties to discuss the Election Commission (EC)’s suggestion to postpone the February 2 poll, said the majority of participants insisted that the election had to go ahead. She said the government and EC had no the authority to postpone the poll.
"We would send the resolution meeting to EC then," Yingluck said.
