The Pheu Thai Party Monday asked the National Anti-Corruption Commission to defer its decision as to whether to charge 381 senators and ex-MPs for sponsoring and voting for senatorial charter amendment bill.
The NACC is scheduled to make a decision on the case on Tuesday.
Former Pheu Thai MPs who submitted the call for the deferment included Peeraphan Palusuk, Wiroj Pao-in, Prompong Nopparit and Udomdej Rattansathien.
Peeraphan said the NACC should postpone its decision and should allow all the accused to give their testimony to the body to defend themselves first.
The former MPs and senators were filed complaint against with the NACC after the Constitutional Court ruled that the charter amendments to the composition of the Senate were unconstitutional.
