Tokyo - Japan's All Nippon Airways (ANA) cancelled a Boeing 787 Dreamliner flight in western Japan early Wednesday after one of its engines failed to start, news reports said.
The Tokyo-bound flight was to depart Yamaguchi Ube airport at 8 am (2300 GMT Tuesday) but the right engine failed to work. The cancellation forced about 140 passengers to take other flights, Kyodo News agency reported.
ANA, the biggest operator of Boeing's newest model, also cancelled a Dreamliner flight in Fukuoka on Monday after instruments indicated a possible problem in its engine.
ANA and Japan Airlines resumed regular commercial services with Boeing 787 jets on June 1, after the worldwide grounding of the aircraft because of battery problems in mid-January.//DPA
