The Democrat Party has asked the Office of the Ombudsman to investigate Pheu Thai MP Pracha Prasopdee over "inaccurate" allegations against Democrat leader Abhisit Vejjajiva regarding absentee voting.
“The evidence Pracha has presented is inaccurate,” said Rames Rattanachaweng, a member of the Democrat Party’s legal team. “We have pictures and video clips confirming that Abhisit was in Parliament during the session on March 14 and he actually voted four times. So we sued Pracha for defamation at Dusit police station.”
Rames said Pracha wrongly questioned a fellow politician’s morality. He should be investigated by the Ombudsman because his accusations damaged Abhisit’s reputation and the dignity of Parliament, he said.
