AN unidentified western man was killed when he fell from his room on the seventh floor of the Silk Condominium in Bangkok onto the roof of an adjacent house early on Friday.

Police have yet to identify the man who was known as Michael.

Police were alerted to the death at 3.30am after the mother of the house owner got up to use the toilet and spotted blood dripping from the 2nd floor.

She told police that she heard a loud noise. Later, when she went downstairs to use the toilet, she saw the blood and went upstairs to find the man's body. She called her son who alerted police.

Pol Capt Somporn Chunoon, deputy inspector of Phayathai police station, said police had yet to check CCTV footage to get more information on the incident and would have immigration police contact the man's family.

A security officer at the condominium said the man appeared to be cheerful and liked to ride a bicycle. He stayed alone on the seventh floor.
