A 54-year-old Japanese man was found dead inside his Bangkok apartment Wednesday morning.

Police believe Suzuki Taoru committed suicide because he was found dead by his friend just about two hours after he sent the friend an email, saying he wanted to die.

He apparently hanged himself with a belt to a shelf inside his room on the eight floor of the Rompho Mansion in Klong Toey district.

His friend told police that the man sent him an email at 6 am, saying he became he wanted to die because he was unemployed.
