Pattani - A Muslim man was shot and killed on his way to a prayer at a mosque in this southern border province Friday.

Police said Wanlor Srang, 68, was killed while riding his motorcycle to the local mosque in Moo 3 village in Tambon Tanyong Luloh in Muang district at 12:30 pm.

Witnesses told police that the man was shot by a pillion rider.
