The Meteorological Department Wednesday warned residents of Lamphun, Lampang, Pichit, Kamphaengphet, and Phetchabun to brace themselves for thundershowers and heavy rains.

In its daily forecast issued at 4 am, the department said the thundershowers and rains would be unleashed by the influence of high pressure system from China covers northeastern Thailand and the upper South China Sea and a low pressure cell covers Central and eastern Thailand.

Scattered thundershowers are predicted in Bangkok whose maximum temperatures are expected at 32-35 C degree.
