What to do on National Children's Day

As the National Children's Day falls on Jan 12, 2013, public and private organisations are lining up activities for children. Here are some.


As usual, the Government House is welcoming children, who can line up to sit in Prime Minister's chair.
Bank of Thailand will open Bang Khunphrom Palace's doors to children on the day, from 9am to 2pm. Aside from games, puppet show and video presentations to boost financial literacy among the youth, children can also sit in Bank of Thailand governor's chair. 
At PTT's headoffice, dinosaurs and games are awaiting with the budget rumoured to hit Bt12 million.
Celebrating the day, MRT and BTS are giving a free ride to children not taller than 140cm and aged below 14 years, from 6am to 12pm. They are required to show up at ticket offices before boarding the train. 
Bangkok Bank is handing out writing kits, including notebooks, pens, pencils, and pencil boxes. The kits were presented to representatives of schools, communities, and government offices to give to children as presents for Children’s Day.
