Superstar College of Asia takes foreign partners to tap AEC

Superstar College of Asia has boosted its relationship with South Korea's Kyung Hee University and Japan's Tokai University by exchanging lecturers and students.

The move is part of its plan to serve the upcoming Asean Economic Community (AEC), said Pisitpong Vorasetakarnkij, dean of Superstar College of Asia.

Orchestra Investor Group has spent about Bt200 million building the college in Thong Lor Soi 20. The college will start its first academic year in August and is currently screening potential students. Superstar College of Asia aims to accept 200 students in the first academic year.

Pisitpong said the college would offer two majors - film and television, and music - and would launch an entertainment business major in its second academic year.

"We will launch our international programme in 2015 when the AEC starts. At that time, we hope to have foreign students from neighbouring countries, including Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia, the Philippines and others," Pisitpong said.
