Rites for princess in 46 temples
On April 9, Bangkok residents can bid their last farewell to HRH Princess Bejaratana at any of the ceremonies held simultaneously at 46 temples across the capital.
The ceremonies will start at about 3pm - the time when the cremation ceremony for the late princess begins in Sanam Luang. The cremation ceremony will be broadcast live on television.
Princess Bejaratana, the only child of King Rama VI, passed away at the age of 85 last July.
"We will prepare sandalwood flowers for people to use during the ceremonies," deputy Bangkok city clerk Piangjai Wisarurat said yesterday, adding that these flowers can also be laid in the late princess's memory at Sanam Luang.
