Pricey white tiger cubs stolen in Chon Buri
Three white tiger cubs worth a total of Bt3 million were found to have been stolen yesterday from the "Million Years Stone Park and Pattaya Crocodile Farm" in Chon Buri.
Upon receiving a report of the theft at 7am yesterday, police checked the CCTV camera footage and learned that at around 1am three culprits broke into the cubs' cage and sedated them before carrying them away. Caretaker Prapas Inmanee told police that the cubs - one male and two females - were about three months old, while park manager Suthasana Kham-onsa said the cubs were born on October 7 and were worth Bt1 million each. He said a reward of Bt50,000 would be given to anyone providing information on the retrieval of each cub.
Nong Preu police superintendent Pol Colonel Somneuk Janket said this gang might involve insiders as they appeared to be too well prepared and informed of the park's schedule. They also suspect the theft might have stemmed from an investor's order.
