Pickpockets hit Lady Gaga concert
Police arrested five members of a Vietnamese pick-pocket gang at Suvarnabhumi Airport as they were about to flee home after reportedly stealing valuables from fans during the Lady Gaga concert in Bangkok on Friday.
Metropolitan Police Bureau chief Winai Thongsong told a press conference yesterday that the three Vietnamese women and two Vietnamese men, aged 22-41, were nabbed along with three iPhones, 32 other cell phones, a portable Playstation and Bt500,000 cash in various currencies.The airport arrests stemmed from the previous arrest of five suspected Vietnamese pickpockets, who allegedly stole valuables from concertgoers at the Rajamangala National Stadium. Police contacted three victims to identify their stolen items.
