Pay rise for BMA officials approved
The Cabinet yesterday approved pay increases for the governor and other Bangkok Metropolitan Administration officials.
The Cabinet approved the pay increases as proposed in the Royal decree drawn up by the Interior Ministry.
The Bangkok governor will receive monthly pay of Bt113,560, an increase of Bt3,440 from the current Bt110,120.
A deputy Bangkok governor will receive monthly pay of Bt90,320, up from Bt87,000.
The secretary to the Bangkok governor will have their pay increased from Bt42,210 to Bt44,110.
The new rates will take effect on April 1, Government Spokesman Thossaporn Serirak said.
