Hundreds of people lined up at the Khon Kaen passport office yesterday to get queue cards for the issuing of passports.

“My queue card says I will get the [passport-issuing] service on February 13,” Chanyanan Thirachthanyapong said.
Although the authorities have announced that they should be able to restore their passport-issuing capacity almost fully next week, Chanyanan was unconvinced, saying “the political situation is full of uncertainties.”
Another Khon Kaen resident, Utai Khetnongbua, said she needed a passport to fly to Germany for her wedding.
“But queues are so long at all offices,” she lamented.
