A Nation TV crew has arrived on Jindo Island, off the southwest corner of the Korean peninsula, to cover the latest ferry disaster and its consequences.

Thanyanok Sithanetchai and Sakcharn Chai-akkapong from Nation TV are accompanied by Kim Jong Min, editor of the South Korean-language Friends magazine published in Thailand.
The ill-fated ferry Sewol began sinking near the island on Wednesday with 476 people on board.
Nation TV, which like this newspaper is part of the Nation Multimedia Group, sent a news team to South Korea in an attempt to find answers to the many questions that have remained unanswered following the ferry disaster.
This is the latest in a series of missions Nation TV has mounted to cover the world’s big stories.
Nation TV teams were recently sent to Kuala Lumpur to cover the missing Malaysian Airline flight MH370, and to Ukraine to cover the political crisis in its breakaway Crimea region.
These missions are part of Nation TV’s efforts to become a world-class television station, in line with the Nation Group’s motto of “In every field of news, we are the main player”.
