Narathiwat bomb explosion injures three

A roadside bomb explosion yesterday left three police officers in Narathiwat's Chanae district slightly injured.



The 10kg bomb exploded at 3pm in a rural road in tambon Chang Pheuk and hit the pick-up truck carrying six policemen, who were returning to Chanae after a mission to gather intelligence. A brief gunfight followed the explosion before the assailants retreated. 
The three injured were identified as Police Lance Corporal Phumthat Boonsakan, Police Lance Corporal Sarayuth Phommul and Police Lance Corporal Theerayuth Luanthong.
