More suspects identified in Mor Chit shooting

Police investigating the shootout at Mor Chit bus terminal last week have obtained more CCTV footage, which identifies additional people involved in the incident. Arrest warrants have already been issued for three publicly-identified suspects, who are still thought to be hiding out in Bangkok.

The other assailants, who police say belong to a gang operating in the Bang Sue area, could also be responsible for some of the victims shot dead during the shootout between teenagers in the bus terminal near Chatuchak park, police said.

Undercover detectives are gathering information about the assailants, while hospital records of those seeking treatment for gunshot wounds are also being checked.

The three suspects wanted on arrest warrants have been identified as Anothai Kerdsanti, Surachai Soithong and Worrawuth Jansukhon. They are charged with murder, attempted murder and carrying firearms without permission.
