Police have sought a warrant for the arrest of a 30-year-old man suspected of killing two boys and a woman aged 19 who was babysitting them early yesterday. They suspect the killings came from an alleged attempt to rape the girl and steal valuables in Ban
After a report of homicides at a housing estate in Nong Preu sub-district at 4am, police found three bodies in the house and collected as evidence a broken whisky bottle, a gold necklace from in front of the house, plus a notebook computer from near the fence.
The boys’ mother, whose husband works abroad, said she had earlier brought a neighbour to work as a dancer in Pattaya. The mother returned home to see the neighbour’s boyfriend waiting on his motorcycle. After he left, she entered the house and found the gruesome murder scene. A security guard at the estate, Prasit Sith, told police the suspect went into the estate at 1.45am and came out before returning at 3am with a bottle of whisky and sat waiting in front of the house.
Chon Buri police chief Pol Maj-General Khatcha Thatsat said the estate’s security camera captured the suspect, later identified as Natthawut Saetia. Police suspect he was angry that the boys’ mother brought his girlfriend back late so he bought booze to drink while waiting and broke into the house in an attempt to rape the babysitter, leading to the murders. The suspect also reportedly ransacked the house to steal valuables.
