Krungthai Bank has announced that its automated teller machines are equipped with anti-skimming devices, and customers can have confidence in using the ATM services.
The announcement came after someone posted a note online suggesting the bank’s ATM at the Krabi City Hall was beset by a skimming problem.
“We have checked the device and found that it functions properly, free from any skimming,” the bank said.
According to the bank, nine of KTB’s customers in Krabi province have fallen prey to ATM skimming, but the customers’ bank-account information has not been hacked via the bank’s ATMs.
“But we will cover their damages,” the bank said.
