His Majesty was treated for high fever, an irregular heartbeat, a slight cough and low blood pressure at around 1am on Sunday, the Royal Household Bureau said in a statement yesterday.

Upon examination, doctors at Siriraj Hospital found a slight infection in his lower lungs and administered medication via a saline drip. A follow up examination on Sunday afternoon showed the fever had fallen and his general condition had improved.
