Iran rejects involvement in Bangkok blasts

Iran on Wednesday denied any involvement in three bomb blasts which took place a day earlier in the Thai capital Bangkok and which have been linked to three Iranian nationals.

Tehran instead pointed the finger at Israel. "The Zionist regime is trying to tarnish the historic ties between Iran and Thailand by such acts," Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast told state television network IRIB.

Iran condemned the attacks, he added.
