India on show for Thai students

The largest fair dedicated to studying in India is back for the 6th consecutive year on February 2 and 3 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, presented by AFAIRS Exhibitions & Media, Asia's leading education fair organiser, headquartered in India. The event will give parents and potential students the opportunity to meet representatives of India's boarding schools, universities, colleges and English learning centres - and get information about educational facilities in India.

Representatives and admission authorities from these institutions will answer queries and offer guidance on accommodation, applications and information regarding admission procedures.

The fair is supported by the Embassy of India in Bangkok, the India-Thai Chamber of Commerce, India-Thai Business Association, and Global Talent Consultants.

"The signing of the joint agreement on educational cooperation last year between Thailand and India has opened up a whole realm of possibilities for Thai students planning to study in India," said India's Ambassador to Thailand Anil Wadhwa. "The two countries have long had strong cultural and trading links, and now these are being enhanced in the field of education."

Sanjeev Bolia, Founder and Managing Director of Affairs, said that India's world-class educational institutes offer young Thai people the opportunity to learn in a congenial and supportive environment.

The event will cater to students aged between eight and 18 - and their parents - searching for a good boarding school, as well as college and university students.

With the promise of excellent infrastructural facilities, teaching staff, grooming, outdoor activities and sports, these schools will also offer spot admissions and spot counselling facilities at the exhibition.

Event organisers say India's educational institutions are globally recognised for their quality and as good value for money.
