Horrific bus accidents kills 2, injures 54
Two people were killed and 54 others were wounded when a bus carrying students on a field crashed in Prachin Buri's Na Dee district early this morning.
The chartered bus, which was transporting students from Wang Mhee School in Nakhon Ratchasima's Wang Nam Kheow district to Chanthaburi, was travelling at a high speed through Tambon Bu Phram, when it suffered a brake malfunction, plunged downhill, and crashed into a six-wheel truck and a pickup at 2.40am.The bus went on to ram trees on the roadside before finally crashing into a large concrete pipeline. The bus driver, Samart Yenmeesombat, was killed on impact. The injured included 42 students and 11 teachers, a bus conductor and a pickup truck passenger. Another student later died.
