Grenade tossed at football match
Five soldiers were wounded last night when a grenade was tossed at their football match at a temple compound in Yala's Muang district.
Attackers driving by in a pickup truck threw the grenade, later found to be an M26 "lemon", at the match at Wat Lak Ha in tambon Sateng Nok. The Buddhist temple is home to an Army unit, the 5032nd Infantry Company. Four soldiers were slightly hurt while one other was seriously injured.
They were treated at a local hospital.
