Mae Wong Dam Project
Govt dismisses ordering blackout of dam interview
Government spokesman Theerat Rattanasewee on Monday insisted the government had nothing to do with the suspension of a broadcast scheduled for Saturday of a recorded interview with environmentalist Sasin Chalermlarp allegedly over his campaign against the Mae Wong Dam project.
Theerat said that the suspension was ordered by MCOT censorship committee and the government hadn't intervened in this matter. MCOT President Anek Permwongseni should explain the suspension. Theerat said that Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra had assigned her deputy Plodprasop Suraswadi to explain details about Mae Wong Dam to the public.
