German funds for border demining

German Ambassador to Thailand, Rolf Sculze and Kim Warren, programme manager for APOPO in Thailand sign an agreement on August 14 to provide 281,000 Euros (Bt11.7 million) support for landmine clearing along Thai-Cambodian borders.



APOPO is a Belgian non-governmental organisation with headquarters in Tanzania and operations in Mozambique, Thailand, Angola and Cambodia.
A statement from German Embassy in Thailand said the NGO has closely worked with Thailand Mine Action Centre and Germany has supported the demining operations along Thai-Cambodian border since last year.
