Five people were killed while travelling to attend a wedding ceremony in Ratchaburi's Photharam district yesterday morning.
Following the accident report at 6.30am, Pol Lieutenant Sayan Tumrawat of Photharam Police inspected the scene on Phetkasem Road in tambon Don Sai and found an overturned car in a roadside ditch.
After pulling the car from the ditch, he found the bodies of a Thai man and four women inside, covered in petrol.
The medical examiner at the scene reported that the victims might have die from choking on the petrol, which came from the car.
Police learned the victims were on their way to attend a relative’s wedding in downtown Ratchaburi City but the driver lost control of the car.
