Drug dealers nabbed in nationwide swoop

Many drug dealers were arrested in different parts of the country over the past two days with thousands of yaba (methamphetamine) tablets seized.

Four were arrested in Loei. Police seized more than 10,000 yaba pills from them. They had smuggled in the drug from a neighbouring country.

Three people from a drug gang were arrested in Nakhon Si Thammarat. Police seized 50 yaba tablets from them. They confessed that they used an M16 and other types of guns to threaten and kill their drug buyers when they collected money from them. 
Four people who were drug-selling network of a drug prisoner in Chiang Rai were nabbed and 8,000 yaba tablets and 100 grams of ice (crystal meth) were seized.
A member of a tambon administrative organisation in Chiang Rai was held for selling yaba to a drug network in Udon Thani. 
In Kalasin, six drug dealers were nabbed with more than 2,000 yaba pills. A Kalasin municipality officer was among them.
