As Pokemon Go fever catches on in Thailand, police are taking stronger action against drivers who play the game on their cell-phones.

Citing the Pokemon Go trend, Deputy Metropolitan Police Commissioner Pol Maj General Adul Narongsak issued an order this week for traffic officers to enforce the law strictly and arrest drivers using cell-phones while they’re behind the wheel.

“By driving around and playing Pokemon Go on their cell-phones, many people may engage in behaviour that threatens the safety of road users and is violating the Land Transportation Act,” Adul said. He has ordered traffic police to report all arrests of offending drivers on a daily basis.
