Dozens of students enjoyed the rare opportunity to learn from Japanese experts at the Chitralada-Toyota Art Camp from March 11-14.
“We organised the camp in the hope of providing Thai youths with opportunities to gain additional art skills and experience,” Ninnart Chaithirapinyo, vice president of Toyota Motor Thailand, said last week.
During the camp, 60 students studied cartoon-drawing basics and online-sticker designs both in theory and in practice.
The course was a collaboration of Toyota and Chitralada School in response to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s initiative.
The trainers were Chizuru Nakamura and Makiko Kunieda. They were the design director and a graphic designer from Charas, a famous design house based in Japan.
