CAPO, police focus on Ramkhamhaeng violence

The Centre for the Administration of Peace and Order yesterday held a meeting of police investigators in an attempt to speedily resolve who was responsible for the violence related to the November 30-December 1 mayhem in Bangkok's Ramkhamhaeng University area.

Police have three teams working on the four fatal shootings, the discovery of 19-year-old Suradet Khampaengjai's skeleton in a burnt-out bus, as well as other 19 cases - eight attempted murders, eight assaults, two incidents of property damage, and one of arson - said Pol General Jaramporn Suramanee.

Police have so far arrested 29-year-old Adisorn Sijanpong and a male minor for reportedly joining some youngsters in smashing and burning a bus near the university on December 1 and stealing its stereo system. The two are being detained at Hua Mark police station.
