Bt2.3 bn earmarked for Don Muang Hospital

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) plans to invest Bt2.3 billion in order to build the 400-bed Don Muang Hospital, which is expected to be completed within five years.

The city authorities have leased a 38-rai plot on Nawongprachapattana Road for 30 years from Wat Paknam Pasicharoen in order to construct the hospital, deputy city clerk Peerapong Saicheu said yesterday.

The BMA will, in the meantime, improve the existing building on the plot into a site for the provision of outpatient services next year, he said.
